Avonlea Farms started as a small family dream back in 2017. We wanted to create a place for couples who love Virginia and the beauty of being tucked away in nature — something peaceful, romantic, and a little hidden from the world.

Today, we’re still a fully family-run venue. My parents, Debbie and Clint, and I run Avonlea together, and we’re the ones behind just about everything you see here. Each winter, we take on new projects and improvements around the property, always looking for ways to make the space feel even more special for the couples who celebrate with us.

Since we didn’t exactly win the lottery, much of what you see has been built, planted, or updated by our own hands over the years. In 2020, we hosted our very first wedding, and seeing the greenhouse filled with people and the property come to life confirmed that this dream had turned into something real.

That hands-on approach hasn’t changed. I personally answer your emails, we manage our own social media, and you’ll often see my parents around on wedding days — they love being part of the celebrations and staying close to the action. Being present and involved is one of the most important parts of what we do.

For us, Avonlea has never just been about having a venue. It’s about creating a place where couples feel taken care of, supported, and genuinely excited to start this next chapter.

Avonlea Farms sits on 64 acres in Louisa, Virginia, right between Charlottesville and Richmond. We can’t wait for you to come visit and experience it for yourself.
