Avonlea Farms began as a family dream in 2017. We wanted to create a place where couples could celebrate surrounded by the beauty of Virginia—a wedding venue that feels peaceful, romantic, and tucked away from the distractions of everyday life.

Today, Avonlea is still exactly that: a family-owned and family-operated venue. My parents, Debbie and Clint, founded Avonlea, and together we continue to run every part of it. I'm Jess, the Venue Director (hi!), and I'll likely be your main point of contact throughout your planning journey. On any given wedding day, you'll probably see all three of us around the property, making sure everything is just right.

What makes Avonlea especially meaningful to us is that we've built so much of it ourselves. Since we didn't exactly win the lottery, every garden, project, and improvement has come from years of hard work, creativity, and plenty of weekends spent with dirt on our boots. Even now, every winter brings another round of planting, building, and dreaming up ways to make the property even more beautiful for future couples.

When we hosted our first wedding in 2020, we realized Avonlea had become so much more than a venue. It had become a place where families gather, lifelong memories are made, and new chapters begin.

​

That's why we stay so involved. I personally answer your emails, we manage everything in-house, and our family remains hands-on because we believe the people who built this place should also be the ones caring for it.

​

Our hope is simple: that from your first visit to your final send-off, you'll feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and excited to celebrate here. It is truly an honor to share our family's dream with yours.
