Whether you're just starting out, in the final stretch before the big day, or somewhere in between, Walk Through Wednesdays offer a low-pressure, convenient way to visit the venue, reconnect with your planning vision, and meet some of our most trusted vendors—all without needing to schedule a separate appointment.

So what exactly is a Walk Through Wednesday, and why do our couples love it? Let’s break it down.

What Is a Walk Through Wednesday?

Walk Through Wednesdays are a monthly open house event hosted at Avonlea Farms from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, typically on the third Wednesday of each month (check our current calendar for exact dates). It’s a chance for our booked couples—and couples still considering our venue—to visit the property in a relaxed, come-and-go-as-you-please format.

There’s no RSVP required, no formal tour structure, and no expectations. Just come as you are, take your time, and explore the venue at your own pace.

Each month, we also invite a handful of our favorite vendors from our preferred list to join us onsite. These professionals might include florists, photographers, DJs, rental companies, and more. Whether you're still building your vendor team or just want to put a face to the name of someone you’ve already booked, Walk Through Wednesdays offer an easy, friendly way to connect.

1. A More Relaxed Way to Visit the Venue

When you’re planning a wedding, time is one of your most valuable resources. Between work, family, and other commitments, it’s not always easy to coordinate a site visit or vendor meeting. That’s why Walk Through Wednesdays are such a game changer.

And don’t worry—this doesn’t replace your one-on-one appointments. We’ll still be available throughout the week for private tours, detailed walkthroughs, and planning sessions. Walk Through Wednesdays are simply a bonus, a little something extra to help you feel more grounded and confident in your plans.

2. Connect with Our Trusted Vendors

One of the most popular features of a Walk Through Wednesday is our rotating lineup of preferred vendors. These are people we know and trust—vendors we’ve worked with time and time again who consistently deliver high-quality service and amazing wedding-day results.

Each month, we invite a few of them to join us onsite to chat with couples, answer questions, and show off a bit of what they do. It’s casual and friendly—there’s no pressure to book, and you’re never expected to make any decisions on the spot.

This is a great opportunity to:

• Discover vendors you may not have considered yet

• Get a feel for someone you’ve already booked

• Ask questions about services, timelines, or wedding-day logistics

• See displays or examples of their work in person

We also clearly communicate ahead of time who will be attending, so you can plan accordingly and make the most of your visit.

These evenings are also a fantastic time to start mapping out the details of your day, especially your floor plan and décor selections.

We’ll have our team available to answer layout questions and help you begin thinking through where things like your sweetheart table, bar, DJ setup, or lounge spaces might go. Walking the space in person with your vision in mind makes it so much easier to picture how your event will flow—and to make confident decisions.

It’s also the perfect chance to stop by our décor library, where you can browse the curated collection of items we offer for both complimentary use and rental. From candle holders and lanterns to signage, chargers, and accent pieces, you’ll be able to see everything in person and start selecting which pieces feel most “you.” If you’re a hands-on planner or a visual thinker, you’ll love being able to touch, try, and imagine how everything will come together.

3. Perfect for Vendors and Planners, Too

Walk Through Wednesdays aren't just for couples—it’s also a perfect time for your vendors and planners to get familiar with the space.
