At Avonlea Farms, we’ve always believed that wedding planning should feel exciting—not stressful—and that couples deserve a thoughtful, well-guided experience from day one.
That belief is exactly why we created Stop By Sunday—our winter open-house series designed to give couples a relaxed, no-pressure way to explore the venue, meet trusted vendors, and start building a wedding team they can truly feel confident in.
This winter, we’re hosting three Stop By Sunday events:

Sunday, February 15 | 3–5 PM

Whether you’ve already toured Avonlea Farms, have your date booked, or just got engaged and aren’t quite sure what you want yet, these events are for you. Think of them as your chance to walk the property at your own pace, ask real questions, meet real people, and start imagining what your wedding day could truly feel like here.
Why We Host Stop By Sunday
For many years, we hosted a traditional annual vendor showcase. While it was successful, we realized something important: couples wanted more than a single, high-energy event. They wanted time. They wanted space to ask questions. And they wanted opportunities to meet vendors in a way that felt personal—not rushed.
So we replaced our showcase with something better.
Stop By Sunday is intentionally designed to feel relaxed, warm, and approachable. There are no booths. No sales pitches. No rigid schedules. Just our couples, our grounds, and the professionals we trust most—ready to connect in an easy, authentic way.
We host these events for two reasons:
To give our couples an informal way to visit the venue without an appointment.
To showcase the incredible vendors we love working with.
It’s about creating real relationships before contracts are signed and decisions are finalized. Because when you know your team and trust your venue, everything else becomes easier.
Why Sundays in the Winter?
One of the things that makes Avonlea Farms different is how deeply we care about the experience of our couples—both on their wedding day and throughout the planning process.
During our busy wedding season, weekends are devoted entirely to events. That’s how we ensure that every couple gets the attention, care, and on-site support they deserve. But winter gives us something special: space to slow down, connect, and be fully present with you.
By hosting Stop By Sunday in January, February, and March, we can:
Keep our full focus on current couples during peak season
Offer meaningful time and attention to couples still in the planning stage
Create a calm, welcoming environment where questions are encouraged
We don’t host weddings in the winter, and that’s intentional. It allows us to give you a truly thoughtful experience—one that reflects how we operate on wedding days, too. We’re not here to rush you through decisions. We’re here to walk with you through them.
What to Expect When You “Stop By”
When you arrive for Stop By Sunday, you’ll find a completely different kind of open house.
You’ll be able to:
Walk the grounds at your own pace, exploring our ceremony sites, greenhouse, pavilion, and gathering spaces
Meet our Preferred Vendors in person and have real conversations about your vision, budget, and priorities
Enjoy food, drinks, and music, so you can experience what your wedding day might feel like
Ask questions without pressure, whether you’re just starting or narrowing down your final choices
There’s no formal presentation. No appointment required. Just a beautifully designed afternoon where you can gather information, inspiration, and confidence—all in one place.
